Meet the team

Willie has over 40 years experience in investment management. He retired from Martin Currie, an equities investment management firm, after 19 years as its Chief Executive and Chairman. Prior to that, Willie spent 16 years with the 3i Group, latterly as Managing Director responsible for the company’s Scottish and Irish businesses. He was also a Trustee of the National Galleries of Scotland until retiring in 2022, after 8 years in the role. 

Willie is currently a Non-Executive Director of Jupiter Fund Management plc, a member of the Advisory Board of Scottish Equity Partners LLP, a Trustee of the National Galleries of Scotland Foundation and a member of the Investment Committee of SCI Ventures, a venture philanthropy company focused on commercialising therapies related to spinal cord injuries. He was educated at the University of Aberdeen.
