Meet the team

Willie spent 19 years with equities investment management firm Martin Currie, as the company’s Chief Executive and Chairman of the Board, retiring in 2019. Previously Willie spent 16 years with the 3i Group, latterly as Managing Director responsible for the company’s Scottish and Irish businesses and ran investment teams focusing on venture capital, energy and mid-market buyouts.

Since 2016 he has been a member of the Advisory Board of Scottish Equity Partners, and a member of the Board of Directors and Audit Committee of the National Galleries of Scotland, retiring from NGS in November 2022.  He is now a Trustee of the National Galleries of Scotland Foundation.
