About Ailsa

Ailsa joined the Scottish National Investment Bank as an Investment Director in November 2023 after spending 12 years overseas. Having qualified as a CA with PwC in Glasgow she spent a number of years working in the Deals team in Scotland before transferring to Australia in 2010.

She spent c.7 years in the Deals & Consulting teams across Australia before leaving to pursue an interest in the wine industry. As a General Manager at an entrepreneur-led winemaking and export business she helped define their vision and strategy, successfully expanding the brand portfolio.

She then spent 5 years as a Strategic Project Director with The University of Adelaide, leading a number of wildly different and interesting commercial projects from setting up a Joint Education Institute in China and negotiating an Online Program Management partnership, to leading South Australia’s International Student Return Project during the pandemic.

Returning to Scotland in 2023, the Bank offered her the opportunity to utilise her cross-sector commercial knowledge, expertise and wider deal experience.  Ailsa’s role at the Bank is primarily leading on new deals, with a focus on innovative and technology-led opportunities aligned with the Bank’s innovation mission.
