Michael Robertson has been appointed to the role of Chief Financial Officer at the Bank, this role is also an Executive director to the Board.
Michael joined the Bank in June 2022 as Interim CFO and has now been appointed to take the role on permanently. Prior to this he was Head of Private Equity & Infrastructure Operations with abrdn.
Michael is a chartered accountant with significant experience working in regulated financial services across Private Equity, Infrastructure, Banking operations and finance.
On his appointment, Michael said: “I’m delighted to accept the permanent role as CFO. Having been at the Bank for over a year, it’s a dynamic place to work and I am looking forward to continue working with our colleagues, the leadership team and the Board. I can see the potential the Bank’s investments have to deliver real change for Scotland.”
CEO Al Denholm commented: “We’re pleased that the Bank will continue to benefit from Michael’s expertise and knowledge in the critical role as CFO. We have an experienced ExCo team in place who are set to deliver our mission-led investments.”
