The Bank has achieved notable success, earning recognition at two industry events last month.
At the Scotland Dealmakers Awards our investee company, Cumulus Oncology, picked up the Deal of the Year (sub £10m) award, celebrating their outstanding achievements to date.
Clare Wareing, CEO at Cumulus Oncology said: “Thank you so much to The Scottish National Investment Bank for the support. In addition, the Bank received a Highly Commended mention in the coveted Funder of the Year category, highlighting our impactful role in supporting transformative investments.
Following this, the 30th International Green Apple Environment Awards saw the Bank take home the Carbon Reduction Silver Award in the Banking, Finance & Insurance sector, after competing against more than 1200 nominations. This accolade was awarded in relation to our Pathway to Net Zero - Carbon Management Plan and two of our three commitments:
• We will increase transparency by reporting against the Taskforce on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures Framework. This will show how we’re taking action to build a more resilient financial system through climate-related disclosure.
• We will ensure that all new investments deliver a carbon management plan or net zero strategy. If current investees don’t have a carbon management plan or net zero strategy, we’ll work with them to put one in place.
Both wins demonstrate the Bank’s dedication to driving economic growth and sustainability across Scotland - a huge thanks and massive congratulations to all the team involved.
